Description

Scientists in Kyu Usami’s world are trying to make something extraordinary: robots with feelings! Because of this, robots move in with single parents with young children. Ichiko is the robot girl who is selected for the Usamis. From the beginning, she turns Kyu’s world upside down, goes to the same elementary school and stirs up his emotional state over and over again. In addition, his childhood friend Ai Irie intervenes more often. While it is clear to many that robots will never be able to develop a “human” heart, Kyu begins to wonder: can robots maybe feel something? Can they be more than just a robot? What exactly is Ichiko to me?
Wissenschaftler in Kyu Usamis Welt versuchen, etwas Außergewöhnliches zu erfinden: Roboter mit Gefühlen! Zu diesem Zweck ziehen die Roboter bei alleinerziehenden Eltern mit kleinen Kindern ein. Bei den Usamis handelt es sich dabei um das Robotermädchen Ichiko. Sie stellt von Anfang an Kyus Welt auf den Kopf, geht mit ihm zur Grundschule und wirbelt wieder und wieder seine Gefühlslage auf. Außerdem funkt seine Kindheitsfreundin Ai Irie immer öfter dazwischen. Während für viele feststeht, dass Roboter niemals ein menschliches „Herz“ entwickeln können, fängt Kyu sich an zu fragen: Können Roboter vielleicht doch etwas fühlen? Können sie mehr als nur ein Roboter sein? Und was genau ist Ichiko für ihn?
