Synopsis

Free!: Dive to the Future: Soushun no Build-up! is set between Free! Take Your Marks and the Free! Dive to the Future TV series. While the new students, Haruka and Makoto, are slowly starting to get accustomed to Tokyo, the swim club friends, Nagisa, Rei, Gou, and their comrades from the Samezuka Academy are going to a party together. They indulge themselves with game booths and delicious food and eagerly await the live broadcast of the sumo tournament of regional Tokyo mascots. The mascot of Iwatobi, the Iwatobi dove, will also climb into the ring to compete against his rivals. However, the organizers have lost parts of the costume and the dove’s actor is late. Is there anyone who could possibly spontaneously step in for him? All the while, Ikuya and Hiyori are preparing for the coming semester, while Asahi visits Kisumi and Rin sets off to become a swimmer in Australia …
