I’m Standing on a Million Lives (Season 2) (2021)

Despite many obstacles and dangers, Yuusuke Yotsuya and his group accomplished their task. As a reward, they were allowed to ask the Game Master a question – whether this world is virtual or real. The answer shocked even Yuusuke as he realised that he is responsible for the death of real people. However, the cruel game is far from over and the group gained its fifth member, Keita Torii. Back in the other world, their way leads to Cortonel. Having arrived there, they discover that 15 years have passed and a lot of things have changed …

As part of their task, they end up on the island Jiffon. Here, they are supposed to help the local residents to hold their harvest festival but due to a horde of orcs, whose number is ever-expanding, the lives of the locals are endangered and the preparations for the festival have almost halted to a grind. To crown it all, the so-called Buffos – animals, that are traditionally sacrificed during the festival – are scattered over the entire island. The festival is supposed to start in eleven days and Yuusuke is eager to help – but also to gain experience points, increase his rank and to reach the class of blacksmiths.

Trotz vieler Hürden und Gefahren hatten Yuusuke Yotsuya und seine Gruppe ihre Aufgabe erfüllt. Zur Belohnung durften sie dem Game Master eine Frage stellen – die Frage, ob diese Welt nun virtuell oder echt ist. Und die Antwort erschütterte selbst Yuusuke kurz, der begriff, dass er echte Menschenleben auf dem Gewissen hat. Doch das grausame Spiel ist keineswegs vorbei und die Gruppe hat nun mit Keita Torii ihr fünftes Mitglied erhalten. Wieder in der anderen Welt angekommen, führt sie ihr Weg nach Cortonel, doch dort müssen sie feststellen, dass ganze 15 Jahre vergangen sind und sich etliche Dinge verändert haben …

Im Rahmen ihrer Aufgabe verschlägt es sie auch auf die Insel Jiffon. Auf dieser sollen sie den ansässigen Bewohnern helfen, ihr Erntefest durchführen zu können, aber aufgrund einer Horde Orks, deren Zahl stetig wächst, ist das Leben der Bewohner ziemlich gefährdet und die Vorbereitungen auf das Fest gehen kaum voran. Zu allem Übel haben sich die sogenannten Buffos über die ganze Insel verstreut – Tiere, die beim Fest eigentlich traditionell geopfert werden. In elf Tagen soll das Erntefest stattfinden und Yuusuke ist fest entschlossen, behilflich zu sein – allerdings auch, um Erfahrungspunkte zu sammeln, seinen Rang zu verbessern und so die Klasse des Schmiedes zu erreichen.
