Synopsis

“Great Conquest: Romance of the Three Kingdoms” is the first of a three-part adaption of “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”. It covers the years 184 to 198.

During the Yellow Turban Rebellion, the farmer Liu Bei is horrified by the suffering of the people and disgusted by the rulers’ aid. He decides to become a powerful lord himself to provide for a peaceful life for the common folk. In Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, he soon finds two like-minded people offering him their support. Although not related by blood, they swear an oath of brotherhood, promising each other to fight together and meet their death on the same day. But they are not the only ones who want to gain power in the dynasty …
