Synopsis

In the distant future, the Earth is ruled by vampires. The girl Doris lives in this world. She is bitten by a vampire and is to become its bride. To prevent this, she hires D, a vampire hunter, and Dunpeal, half-human and half-vampire, to help her kill the vampire and thus cure her. D agrees to kill the vampire Count Magnus Lee, but he is a somewhat shady character himself and has his own motives for killing the Count.

The film is based on the first light novel by “Vampire Hunter D”. The film was released simultaneously nationwide in Japanese cinemas and on VHS, Betamax and LaserDisc.
