Shin Ruriiro no Yuki (2000)

Hiroshi Mokabe is a brilliant scientist and inventor. He has only one problem: he is short of money. That’s why he decides to move into a flat belonging to the parents of his childhood friend, Youko Nagawa. The rent there is incredibly cheap, as the rumour of a haunting ghost is doing the rounds. After moving in, Hiroshi is already preparing for a housewarming party but is disturbed by the malfunction of one of his inventions, which blows a hole in the floor. Under the floor, however, is something Hiroshi would not have expected at all: a vessel containing the angel Ruri. So from now on, Hiroshi has a new roommate … and this one is not always easy.

Hiroshi Mokabe ist ein genialer Wissenschaftler und Erfinder. Er hat nur ein Problem: Er ist knapp bei Kasse. Deshalb entschließt er sich, in eine Wohnung, die den Eltern seiner Kindheitsfreundin Youko Nagawa gehört, einzuziehen. Die Miete dort ist nämlich unglaublich günstig, da das Gerücht eines umherspukenden Geistes die Runde macht. Nach dem Umzug bereitet sich Hiroshi bereits auf eine Einweihungsparty vor, wird allerdings durch die Fehlfunktion einer seiner Erfindungen gestört, die ein Loch in den Boden sprengt. Unter dem Boden befindet sich jedoch etwas, womit Hiroshi keinesfalls gerechnet hätte: ein Gefäß, das den Engel Ruri enthält. Von nun an hat Hiroshi also eine neue Mitbewohnerin … und diese ist nicht immer einfach.
