Community Summary: Spring Season 2024

posted on by ani-chan
A train to the end of the world, cute high school thugs and four schoolgirls rediscovering their passion – this year’s spring season has had it all! And now that the season is almost over and the last episodes are running, we’d like to take a look back with you!banner_newsen-7ELR.png

At the beginning of the season, you could vote in a poll for your most anticipated series of the spring season 2024.

Once again, sequels dominated the poll. The two isekai anime “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Season 3” and “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Season 2 Cour 2” were able to awaken joy in the most users with 64 and 65 votes respectively. Close behind is “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3” – and if we’re honest, we all missed Megumin and Darkness~ (Okay, yes … Aqua too … somehow)

Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf” was also eagerly awaited – and didn’t disappoint so far! However, as the anime continues into the next season, we only ask for your in-between thoughts here! “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hashira Training Arc” and “The Irregular at Magic High School: Season 3” were also in high demand. Were these expectations confirmed after the show?

Of this season’s newcomers, you found “Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers” and “An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride” interesting. White-haired, pretty ladies … do I see a pattern here? The Girls Love title “Whisper Me a Love Song” also convinced you, at least in the survey. Towards the end, however, it became a bit … quiet … in that respect. Let’s see if it might also make it into the next season?

Another not-necessarily surprise was “Kaiju No. 8”, which won us over not least with its awesome soundtrack, even if it only came second in the poll for the best opening of the season.

This season’s insider tip was probably “Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night”, although it received almost no votes in the poll. If you haven’t seen it yet: catching up is recommended!

The season’s flop was probably “Vampire Dormitory” – a banal 0815-story full of clichés and bland characters. Or what do you say?

But that’s enough with all the numbers and analyses! The more important thing is: What do you think? Was this season better than the last? Did an anime exceed your expectations? Did an anime that you were looking forward to disappoint you? Did you have to drop an anime because you didn’t like it at all? And most importantly: Who is your waifu or husbando of the season? Feel free to write us your personal summary of the spring season in the comments!

You can also check out the poll for next season and, thus, become part of the next community summary!
